let’s meet
Born in Pretoria, I spent my first 20 years in South Africa. After graduating with a BSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Pretoria I moved to the UK. As I was not enjoying computer programming for a living, I struck out in a totally new direction and started a blog and haven’t looked back since.
In 2007, I started a food and travel blog, called Greedy Gourmet. Knowing that attractive images of food are essential for a food blog’s success, I studied and practised, studied and practised and then went back and did a little more – much more, in fact! To this day I’m still learning as my style evolves, keeping up with the latest trends and ensuring that my photography remains top quality.
My approach to food is to keep it simple. No skullduggery takes place behind the scenes such as the use of motor oil, glue or steaming tampons – all the food you see in my photos are 100% real and edible. I’ve worked with amazing chefs and my work has appeared in magazines, national newspapers and websites. My aim remains the same: portraying food in the best possible light to make consumers come back for more!
When I’m not out shooting restaurants I work from home with numerous big brands developing recipes and photographing even more food. Previous clients include UKTI, Dr. Oetker, Weight Watchers, Go Compare, John Lewis, Lurpak, Lakeland, Riso Gallo and Cheapflights.
In quieter moments I spend time with my two children, tinker in the kitchen cooking something exotic, go to the gym or swim, practise my debating skills in London or have my nose in a book – always learning something new.
